In 2013, I began my Public Service career in Kansas City, MO as a Mission Support Specialist with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). In 2015, after marrying my husband and moving to DFW, I joined the U.S. Department of Labor, serving as an Economist with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for nearly 7 years. Then, in 2021, I transitioned to the U.S. Department of Commerce, applying the skills previously acquired to the role of International Trade Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service’s Dallas-Fort Worth Office (CS-DFW). As a Trade Specialist, I covered the Energy, Automotive and Chemicals sectors, assisting countless exporters in North Texas expand internationally. Thereafter, CS-DFW Director, Jessica Gordon, joined the Department of Commerce Diplomatic Core, and I was selected to lead the CS-DFW office into the future as our new Director. Thankful for the unmatched example set by our previous Director, I’m happy to now lead the CS-DFW team. Daily, our team of exceptional and professional International Trade Specialists curate valuable connections and opportunities for North Texas Exporters and municipalities, facilitating international trade and economic growth in north Texas.
