Who We Are
The North Texas District Export Council (NTDEC) is a volunteer organization made up of exporters and service providers with extensive international trade experience. The NTDEC Members are appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and contribute leadership and international trade expertise to complement the U.S. Commercial Service’s export promotion efforts. This includes counseling businesses on the exporting process as well as conducting trade education and community outreach. The NTDEC is one of 60 District Export Councils (DECs), made up of nearly 1,500 business and trade experts who volunteer to help U.S. companies develop solid export strategies.
The primary objectives of the NTDEC are to educate the community about international trade and its benefits, including “how to” education to promote exports and international trade for companies in our region.
The NTDEC also lobbies state and federal legislatures to promote issues that can have a positive effect on international trade for the North Texas Region. The NTDEC works with the North Texas U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC) and U.S. Commercial Service to accomplish our goals.
